Stop............. Kuro time

just get a logitech all in one harmony remote - one of the better ones not the cheapest - well worth it (you pretend it broke after 3 months and you get another one fore free)

I have a Logitech Harmony One.

To be honest my brain is just so used to using the Sky HD remote that I find it annoying to use the Logitech. Perhaps it's the fact that the green button appears on the touch bit that annoys me? who knows! I have got macros' set up for the mrs as she tends to get confused if I've left the TV on Input 3 after playing some PS3 :D

She likes to press "Watch TV" and be done with it.. oh, and my Input 1 has a swarve ISF logo :p;):D

Nothing wrong with the remote on my set, or many of the other Kuros I have seen.

Blown a little out of proportion me thinks. Get a harmont then put the Pio one back in the box :p

No, how? I paid £3,200 for my tv if it had a dodgy remote I would be super ****ed off.

Initially you said dont worry about the remote control after what was paid for the tv!!

I would call that a contradiction of your latter "agreed" statement to what James said.

Why throw good money after bad though - I like the Pio remote, and I want to carry on using a decent one. I dont see why I shouldnt expect the one with this tv to last a lot longer than it has without having to fork out for a replacement

What can these be had for now, inc. stand? After a few more sessions infront of my mates 5090, decided I can live with the 'flickering'. But as I've a fair sized living room I'm considering the 6090. Intial searches suggest £3.5k??

Where did I say that? I never said don't worry about the remote to my knowledge, I was agreeing with james.miller that id also expect that on a tv that cost £600, let alone £1600 meaning build quality don't really see how I have contradicted myself.

Hello firstborn I don't know if they still have it but I got my PDP LX6090 from www.futurehome.co.uk. Sorry they haven't got it anymore but this place has it for £3,200 http://www.tlcbroadcast.co.uk/pione...ration-includes-free-year-warranty-p-229.html

Yay, local dealer has one in stock so off to get it this morning.

I'll use the settings over at AVforums in Bumptious's thread, are these ok out of the box or do I need to reduce contrast I bit more for the first few months?

Also do I need to be paranoid about screen logos, say a hour or two every night? I dreamt about them last night, woke up in a sweat! :D

Those settings are great, but they're designed to be a starting point.

I was using them as written, and when a guy (from AVForums) came around to ISF calibrate it, he said it was pro-green, so it goes to show each display is made different. Definitely start there, but tweak though
