about the ram it is abit expensive dont you think?? i got the cheapest RAM i could find what is wrong with my ram and my why change my psu??? also how will i build this beast any tips and also how long will it take me to build this what shall i do about static charges this is my first time building a pc and i am really confused i might hire this guy to do it but he is going to charge me £200!!!!!! and i have not got any money on mee ! :(:(:(:(

did i say free bul**** lol i didnt ment to say free i said im getin it of my uncle for £300 for used lol he needs cash for his new son he is quiting the gaming pc and concentrating on his family needs or **** like that lol

Pull the other one, it's got bells on.

You say you come from a poor family with low income, yet your selfish enough to blow cash like this on a PC when you can get away with one that will last your years for MUCH less that half that.

My advice? spend 1.5K tops on the PC and then keep ther rest till you go to college/Uni and spend it on something important.

So you've spent £5000 on components when you really have no idea what you're doing at all?

well ACTAULLY I HAVE A SLIGHT IDA WHAT I AM DOING and i really wnt to give this a go and it is my money i worked for 2 years. actually 1 year and 11 months and 28 days lol, so if i do not have an idea i will get my uncle to do it for me but he will charge me 200 quid !! so CAN YOU PEOPLE ANSWER THE QUESTIONS INSTEAD OF ASKING QUESTIONS PLEASE

a lot of money gone into this pc then 5k jesus i thought i was mad lol, regarding doing the build its nothing to worry about, put it this way its lego it will only fit in one way only, take your time even if it takes you 2 days. i did mine in a day and half never touched a pc insides before, then to to top it all i overclocked it to 3.4ghz.now im upgrading a year later.
my advise to you is read up on all of it first, and ask on here for help i did and it got me trough it.overclocking is differnet for each pc so dont go copying others its ok for a starting block but no two pc are the same hope this helps.

You may have the money but about £2k of that would be wasted. Why waste that sort of money?

You can build a high specification computer for around £3k so why bother with a £5K spec?

If your ordering that sort of componant level I sugest you get someone to do it for you otherwise you wouldn't be asking a spec in the first place you would just order it without asking people if it looks good e.t.c.

Hmmm.

well ACTAULLY I HAVE A SLIGHT IDA WHAT I AM DOING

If you knew what you were doing and if you'd researched properly then you'd probably realise that even after sinking £5000 on a machine now, it will be outdated in a few months time. Therefore, there's a good grand or two wasted when you could have spent £2500 for a machine that will do everything you ask of it, due largely to the fact that there are very few programs/games that will require even a fraction of that computer's processing power.

Do a feasibility study next time. Not being funny, this is genuine advice.

I will continue on the basis of the fact that you have actually bought all the components.

I would definitely give the build a go yourself however if your uncle is capable of doing it himself, surely he can be on hand to help you out if you are stuck?

As it's your first build I would allow a whole day to complete the build, you will not want to rush through it, take it one step at a time methodically.

Your motherboard will come with a manual. This will describe the various connectors on your board and so you will be able to figure out what goes where and will be your main source of reference initially.

Most of the components you will install are fairly straightforward and those that aren't will come with instructions.

For general info why not check out youtube for self build videos to pick up some generic knowledge.

Finally with regards to static charges, most people on here do not bother with an antistatic wrist band. As long as you are not wearing synthetic clothing, build the PC on a wooden table (or something other than carpet) and ground yourself on a radiator or something before starting (then once the build comes together, touch a metal part of the case) then the likelyhood of ESD is very low.

they've got a point i spent 1500 on my pc (maybe nearer 2k once you include the monitor keyboard etc that you need) and a bit later i can get another 2nd hand gtx 280 for a few hundred and it will be faster than what you have speced. yours will just run cooler and quieter due to water cooling. i cant even see a ssd boot drive in your spec. what exactly makes it a 5k spec?
