Will You Buy Windows 7???

hell yea. never bought vista though and if i had done then maybe id have to think about it more

really really like window7 though. perfect on my desktop and netbook

Yes, waiting for the auto upgrade before I buy a new notebook. Will also be buying a license for my desktop at some point.

Will be the first time I've bought a Microsoft OS on it's own since Windows 95.

A whole new build round the corner for me (passing on current rig as is). So will hold out purchasing any OS until this is out.

Possibly, may put it on my htpc at some point ditto my laptop. Altough saying that, Vista on my htpc is perfectly fine.

The only OS I own is XP but I've been testing the RC of Windows 7 and thanks to Microsoft's technet blunder, Vista Ultimate.

I have to admit I was biased against Vista after being an XP semi-fanboy, this was partly due to my first experience of it being buying an ultra-budget laptop that came with it and was far too crap to handle it, and partly because I felt it simply wouldn't bring anything I would actually use. However, I now see there's nothing wrong with it at all, it's a perfectly sound OS.

Win 7 has the nice shiny interface but there are quite a lot of annoying minor changes that come with it, although you can disable/tweak most. I suppose it's "the future" but meh. Personally I can't see what 7 does over Vista for my personal use, but I'm sure there's a ton of improvements that you can't "see" at first.

I suppose forking out for a genuine copy of Vista at this stage would be pointless; whether I buy 7 all depends on how much they charge for it.

I would like to think i would buy it but what worrys me is what will come next. I brought retail version of vista 64 ultimate and then just as i'm getting used to it they announce they are bringing out windows 7. Knowing my luck i would shell out a big sum of cash for windows 7 and they will come out with another operating system straight after. I think they should give people a free copy of 7 or voucher for money off.

Luckily I will be grabbing the full version from MSDN when it hits there, but I have to say I am impressed with this version, slicker than Vista (in my opinion) and looks like a grown up XP that does what its meant to again :)

Will be sad to say goodbye to all my XP installs though :D

Will probably grab a copy when I eventually reformat my main rig in a year or so. I reformatted a few months ago and re-installed a fresh copy of Vista Home Premium, so I'm ok for now but will certainly be getting Windows 7 for my next reformat.
