What do you regret buying?

baught my pc a week before the i7 D0 version came out, dont regret it that much
other than that cant really think of much

Some 'designer' jeans out of the boot of some blokes car when I was down the pub one night...pretty sure I paid about £25 for them and I'm fairly certain I was modelling them in the pub and strutting up and down pretending I was on a catwalk to try and drum up more trade for him.

Next day when I inspected my new purchase they were terrible fakes and the badge on the back wasn't even sewn on straight.

Not my finest hour :p

RC Helicopter - bought one first time, broke it, repaired it - sold it at a loss on eBay

Bought another one a coupleof years later and only used it a few times - not bothered selling that yet.

PS3 + Games - I buy a new game and play it for an hour or so then never touch it again, has had months of being switched off

Xbox 360 + Games - Same as PS3 really, haven't used it in over a year

This PC - Spent over £1k on it around a year ago, not played a single game on it since apart from when I first built it , only use it for browsing + listening to music

Fax machine - god knows why I bought this, never use it as my PC has a modem to send/receive faxes

Weights bench - kept this for a few weeks then decided to buy a seperate bench and power rack, so it got dismantled and hidden in a corner somewhere

Trainers - Have far too many pairs (50?) some which I don't even like and have never taken them out of their box

32" CRT TV - Used it for 1 week when my old TV broke then decided to buy a 42" Plasma , gave the CRT away

Surround sound Setup - Bought this at same time as Plasma, wired up the speakers + subwoofer + amp etc. switched it on once and never watched a movie/played a game on it since

iPhone - Bought this when they were quite new for more than £300 , used it for only a few weeks , developed a fault and couldn't be bothered to get it repaired - been sitting in my drawer for at least a year and now out of warranty

Far too much stuff I've wasted money on in the last few years :o

I think maybe you should think of this post next time you are about to make an impulse purchase

OoOverclockaoO - money to burn? Just buy a decent bbq and burn it all. lol

I'm normally quiet carefull with my money taking time to think before I spend.

My regret was buying my 1st car, a Nova. Bought the 1st one I could get my hands on and ran it into the ground, only lasted a couple of months before the pistons shot straight through the bottom of the engine. RIP yug

Probably a good idea - at those times I was earning well so didn't really bother me too much - now times are a lot harder so not buying any expensive useless stuff. I did buy an expensive road bike but that's getting a lot of use so not regretting that one bit :D

I'll take the iPhone off you if you can't be bothered to repair it :p

I don't think I really regret buying anything because most of my purchases are fairly well thought out. Maybe some of my tools which were cheap, the old saying goes 'buy cheap, buy twice' and that definitely stands true.

Edit: Lexmark printer. I hated it. It went on eBay :grr:

My computer... £1200 (albeit some of that was insurance money as my laptop got stolen). I could have easily got a PC half that price that would do everything I've used it for.
Unfortunately I wanted the best I could afford at the time. :(

I won't be spending that much on a PC again, complete waste of money.

Apart from that I have been pretty sensible with my money and can't think of anything else that I really regret buying.

Me too, spent £1200 on a full tower, completely unnecessary for my uses, tbh could have just gotten a shuttle pc or a laptop and it would have suited me fine. Would have a lot more savings too..

-A 21" CRT off ebay, my one and only transaction there
-A PC steering wheel (takes up loads of room and I'm worse with it than using the keyboard!)
-My first house. Renting would have made more sense in hindsight as I was looking to change jobs, my wife couldn't drive either at the time so it needed to be close to her work which restricted our options a bit. Also it was a bit of a quirky house (downstairs bathroom, stairs leading of the kitchen diner) which although we quite liked, probably hurt the resale value. Was also too close to some flats, I think we were so desperate to live together that we jumped on the first house we liked rather than waiting for something better.
-an old mobo/cpu/ram combo off MM, seemed like a "bargain" but of course I've never actually used it.
-iPod: I can't be bothered carrying it around with me and just use the mp3 player on my phone instead
-Tickets to the West Ham match this year, cost £67 plus transport, not the best view and 0-0.
-Zelda Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy for the Wii, 2 years later and I still haven't even opened the boxes yet
-A Singapore Sling while in Singapore. Expensive and a bit sickly.
-Booking the majority of my honeymoon through an agent rather than DIY as I've done for every other holiday
