Festival goers

Got the IOW festival next week non camping mind, what essentails would you recomend?

Good call for a thread. I'm going Download next weekend, so far my essentials seem to be:

Spare phone battery
Dry shampoo
Hayfever tablets
Pack of cards
Wetwipes
And I'm bringing one of those money things that strap around my waist, even as stupid as they look.

Apart from the usual, tent, BBQ and sleeping bag.

Ditto going to download, my list so far is:

Sleeping bag
Tent (Shared)
Fold up chair
2 changes of clothes + loads of underwear.
Booze (Kinda shared)
Wet Wipes
Paracetamol
Loads of deodrant. (shared)
Toilet paper
Food (Kinda shared)
Toothbrush/paste/mouthwash
Dry shampoo
A towel
Hexi stove

We're going on the Wednesday morning so it's all quite necessary

How long is the OP going to the festival for ?

Make sure you don't take huge gas bottles with you otherwise you'll find yourself fuel-less as we did at Reading last year.

Took away our gas which was only the size of a coke can...

Aim to get there so you can have your tent up by mid/late afternoon, then you've got time to chill with some drinks

Early. The whole place will fill up incredibly quickly so get there before 12 if you can. Or you might get a rubbish camp spot.

Taking all of the above, but I don't know if I can be bothered with a stove if they take your gas away :/

Are wellies going to be necessary?

I'm taking a three season sleeping bag too, I get very cold when the alcohol wears off :/
