why do you see it as racist?
My grasp of history is pretty good and I was using the Nazi reference for effect. I can assure you that you need not lose sleep over my worrying naivety.

With no African/Asian ethnic allowed in the BNP, hardly the demonstration for democracy when you're saying we currently do not have one.
Yet in yorkshire the 1st place get 25% and BNP get 10% to claim seat labour get 17%
The others within 20% of the BNP, within 6% of Labour.
The Only worrying thing is the main parties still not seeing that immigration is the BIG ISSUE, now people might actually see that BNP can get seats and isn't a wasted vote and many more people could choose to vote for them. Roll on election day.
Thats just racist, on application forums they ask you what race, why what purpose does it have, there is no need for it. You getting a job not because of yoru damn race but your skills.

I have served too. I have lived in 'multi cultural' areas of the Uk, France, Germany, New York and even Brazil!. I have worked with all cultures and people in all types of jobs.
Its not the multi cultural that is the issue, any religion is good, they 99% preach peace, understanding living as one with people around you and helping each other out. I have seen it, done it, helped out and been helped out by it.
The media of the press using words like, human right, racist, minority, only fair, being picked on, fuel the common man to think what they want you to think.
You do end up with towns where schools no longer teach in English, were teachers are removed as they refuse to teach a religion they won’t convert to, I have seen it happen. I have seen pubs demolished pubs that had been there from 1845, to make room for a mosque, as the ruling council was Muslim. It happens, they change what was once British to Muslim, then claim it’s to integrate more with us, while doing everything they can to look not one bit like you.
You see, the last sentence is easy to agree with, as it is an attack on being British, but is it. What if I told you the pub had stood empty for 40 years. The teacher only had 4 weeks left till she retired and by the rules of the school, as she was ask to leave, still got the full pension, so in fact the school did her a favour. Does ti really matter what they wear, look at what the next 50 people you pass wear, its never the same, so how can they look like us when we don’t even look the same! Yet when you read it in the paper, you get one side, OPEN YOUR EYES people, find out for yourself what is going on and don’t for the love of god take news papers as gospel!
Do as I did, go to a mosque, stand there, watch and listen, ask questions, get to know them and you soon realize they feel the same as you, they want peace, food, love, drink, fun. Don’t let something that may or may not be there stop you from getting to know them. You will soon get respect from them.
And there is the word that is missing from many of the arguments in the uk today, respect. The people coming to the uk, 99% of them are looking to work, want somewhere safe, have nothing to go back to and are met right away with no respect, abuse and ill feelings. What do you think they feel in return?
OK, BNP are a step too far for most people. But if it was a Muslim priest, he would have human rights, when was the last time a Muslim priest got egged? Was punched in the face? Spat on in the uk high street. The BNP guys where in Leigh a NORTHEN TOWN fought by a pack of mad men, no one was charged, the BNP dropped all charges, when was the last time another minority did that? I guess when intellectuals win arguments the common man reverts to violence?
The reason the BNP win seats is not through anything other than using the media for their own needs, they take your fears and use them. All parties do it, don’t blame the BNP for that without looking at all the others too. What you need to do is look at what they are saying, where they are from, what has gone on. Maybe then, we can work out how to live with another human being who believes in a being that created the world and preaches peace, bit like your own god really!
In conclusion, I know I’m going to get ripped to bits for this, but go and talk to some Muslims, some Asians and I think you may be surprised. Also the only thing in this country that causes more harm than anything is the media, yet it is believed to be true all the time. Please, start reading history and get out and talk to people.

Maybe you did not understand my post? I have no problem with an asian funeral place, my point was if anouther company advertised theres as white brits, it would be looked at as racist, so why is it ok for one and not anouther?
And dont talk about other countrys, there immigration problems are nothing like ours. Like people say having the pols here is great, cheap labour etc. but what good is that, when most of them and nearly all that work with the company i do, get payed and send half there pay back home to there familys.

On the applications, if you do read the inprint, that the ethnic questions asked are NOT used within the application terms. It is only used for when they do survey to represent the office in terms of number of different ethnic groups.
ANY company or political groups selective for any ethnic groups are wrong to the princples of democratic society.

Actually, there are a variety of voting systems that can be used in democracy. If this had been a general election using FPTP, the BNP wouldn't have registered anything, likewise it if had been contested under single transferable vote or mixed member voting (other versions of PR that are generally preferable to the party list system used for the EU elections), again, they wouldn't have won anything.
The combination of Party List PR and low turnout is what has given the BNP these seats, their actual support level hasn't risen significantly, and even in their 'heartlands' (generally areas of the north of england with below average educational standards and above average unemployment) they are still only 4th, (in the south, they are usually 5th, so even lower down the order).
It's tragic that some people have decided that a party that is institutionally racist best represents their ideas, because it's such a non-british attitude that goes against our traditions and history. It's even more tragic that these people think they are preserving the british traditions by doing it.

I understood your post, thank you. As the Asian service is not the norm here, they need to inform people that their offering is different and applicable to those cutlures. They are not saying they offer an Asian service to exclude others, they are offering it to provide for this niche. I don't think it would be racist to say Christian or Western funeral services offered - just largely pointless since it is the norm in this country.
