I mean those who claim to never pay for software and using the excuse of everything they use is open source. While I fully agree that there are those out there who do go down that route (at a rough and wildy unsubstantiated guess yourself included), they are in the minority.
Ah right, no worries I just read it a couple of times and still wasn't catching the drift.

My software is a mix of paid for and free/open source. Usually I'll look for open source/free beer software, then as a last resort I'll go and buy something. There is so much good free stuff out there, with video editing software being the only exception in my experience. Although I know a few people who won't even entertain GIMP over Photoshop -sometimes justified, sometimes not. I don't want to turn the thread into a free vs paid debate though.
