You shouldnt be seeing them from me! Havn't had time for L4D recently, but feeling the need to get right back into it.

Are we still top of the survivor leaderboard Kearney?

I think it's more of an issue when you've clearly got 'an attitude' - the emphasis is definitely on "rage" rather than "quit".

Though obviously games that lose a team-member tend to get quite disrupted/ruined...so it's all a case of balance :)
 
I will tell you or anyone in advance if I'm leaving.. Like i did yesterday.. That's all I can do and hope that is acceptable. I'm still a noob at L4D but I've been enjoying a few games recently :D

No it's fine when you have to quit for whatever reason as aekeron says, I don't have a problem with that. It's just sometimes people just leave when their team is losing, often after moaning throughout the game. I try as much as possible to even teams up a bit after the first couple of rounds, but someone always loses (haven't yet drawn in l4d :))

Also, INX have got back in contact with me about my server saying they've put some load monitoring software on their server, please can we try my server again tonight, just to prove the problem to them? I apologise for any lagging and if it gets unbearable we can swap, I just want them to sort it for me...

Rage quitting also involves a lot of profanities being typed / squeeled down a mic, some team attacking, or wandering off in a huff :D
 
if you're gonna rage quit you have to at least mouth off and blast over comms, then its a very fun experience :D

however, some people who dont have a lot of time to play l4d, and they find themselves in a game they're not enjoying, id say they are excused to leave occassionaly. i wouldnt want to pressure someone on my team to stay if they're not really enjoying it. obviously they'd search for a replacement yadda yadda,

Huddy, I still get branded a noob (mostly by Kearney) I just sit back, safe in the knowledge that the time will come again when I get to kick all your butts! :) :)

We all started somewhere, just keep joining the games. Its a tough learning curve when playing against the regulars but keep at it, we'll give you tips if you're prepared to listen and getting a mic is defo a good move.

I've added Knubje, Link to Insanity and yourself (French Tart). Right now, my steam name is "Pie!" :D Though it changes depending on my mood, but my avatar/logo remains the same :)

Still searching for Pyro Fish. lol.

Accepted mate, will invite you tonight, prepare for lagg however (And no im not counting the odd jut, I want to push the server until it's starting to fall over so i can dare INX to miss that!) Oh and I really hope your name has a constant (one that it keeps returning to). I had one "friend" who I had to delete because it got annoying. ;) :D

Im sure there were some people who came into our game on saturday night when drunk and you on the geetar that would have thought what have i walked into here lol
 
I seem to constantly have a high ping in Left 4 Dead :(. I tried CSS and my ping was mostly in the 20's. Any one got any suggestions on how to lower my ping :)?
 
We had an entire OcUK team RQ last week - the four of us left on the server were gob smacked as it was something we'd never seen before. I didn't take note of names though... thankfully the usual lot stepped up and filled in record time :)

I also technically did my first RQ from a semi-OcUK game yesterday. The server admin kicked our top scoring player midway through the map to make way for a friend. It meant 5 mins of 3 vs 4, gave them an advantage they should not have had, and they kicked a perfectly good player without explanation. When asked why I got the response "it's my server, I'll do what I want." Fairplay... you're right... but I'm not playing with such a nonce (was not an ocuk server).

In my defense, I did message the other ocuk'ers with a quick explanation why I left. I've yet to RQ on a full on ocuk game and can't see myself ever doing so. The regulars are great fun :)
