Free Half Life 2

Could I have it please, but 1st how does this all work, do I download it? Can I not download It until I get my new Pc sorted out? (week or two)

Also, I dont have steam on my computer at the moment.

I am aware that it is steam. (msn in my profile)

Need an email address

And although not 100% sure, but I think it probably works on the fact that in Steam I give you HL2 as a gift which is recorded against your email address, then if you use that same email address to register and download in steam you will HL2 appear as a game in your list and you can download from there

If I activate it on this computer, will I still be able to Download and install it on my new one hassle free?
 
Also, one more thing (hehe, I sound like that guy off of Jackie Chan)

My current computer is that crap that it wont load (In the Steam client) the Store, Community or the gift activation window (The one that comes up when you click the "To receive you gift" link in you emails)
