The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Whats the best way to view videos and pictures from the phone to the tv? I know samsung didnt supply a tv out cable and I tried using my N82 cable but that didnt work. Any ideas? Thanks

Phone now fully debranded with the latest unbranded firmware on Orange. :)

Anyone found any good apps for it yet? and where from?

every time i try getting an app from the ovi store (select model: 5800) i get errors when trying to install. Any one got any tips?

Just received a £2.50 case from Ebay for it, a rubber one - fits absolutely perfectly and everything is still accessible, great buy and would recommend it to any of you!
 
I'm tempted to get one of the rubber cases, I just wonder if it will get stuck to the inside of pockets? Not stuck, but a lot harder to get out quickly?

and also, will ya help me, with what method should I type my unlock code, its a symbian phone, so I guess much like the Samsung i560 (which I do have on the instructions page), although its symbian ver 3.

Bought this phone at the weekend off ebay and it is superb, love it

Couple of questions -

1) Whenever I connect the phone to the PC via PC Suite it starts recharging my phone again while it is connected, any way of stopping that ? as I am sure that short charges every day is messing with my battery life

2) I want to install a couple of .wgz files that I downloaded off the net (Iplayer and a game) but when I load up the applications installer in PC Suite there is no sign of them available to install so any idea how to install .wgz files onto the phone from PC Suite ?

Other than the battery life this is one amazing phone
 
Well I've bitten the bullet and sent my Omnia back :(
Could not get used to the phone and a few bits really annoyed me so I'm going to wait and see, probably until the comunity has sorted out all the bits that Orange have knackered!

Thanks for all your help with the trial I did, I still have the old Omnia so that will have to do - I'll really miss the screen though! :(

You know you can unbrand it now with a new firmware so those bits that orange knackered can get fixed!.

Won't that invalidate the warranty ?

Far as I know Orange and Samsung won't repair any phone where it has been unlocked/unbranded

I will stick with what I have as don't want an expensive paperweight
 
Guys any new on other networks getting it? My girlfriend REALLY wants this on Vodafone but Orange seems to be the only network with it. Or can it be unlocked easily? We might just buy an unlocked one.
