They frowned upon us when we took over a meeting room at lunch time and put PES on a projector (the console and projector belonged to us)... The guy who brought them in actually got told off (but that might have been because he was a bit of a slacker generally)

The other option is to bring in a bunch of DS handhelds. We've done that too. There's a pretty large list of games that only need one cart (i.e. Bomberman :D).

I work with one of my best mates so we used to game on nights, or set aside an evening or two to meet up at eachothers houses and game away.

my gaming does tend to be more XBL based than anything now days since uni, though I do occasionally have a mario kart/retro/RB night with friends thats always good fun. But as you said, a lot of my uni friends moved back home, where as I'm from Nottingham originally.

Clearly Az needs more LAN's with more frequency throughout the year! and I need to catch you guys on Galo at some point to get my ass handed to me :)

I have not done Offline co-op with more than one person since I finished high school 4 years ago, I've got one mate who loves co-op games (whole reason I bought my 360) but when I bought GHWT it was only us 2 no one else could be bothered.

so really I dont game socially unless my mate gets a new game then I'll go and co-op.

actually thats another thing why I game more on XBL....I hate playing coop games locally where the game ends up split screen (gears or halo?), annoys the hell out of me. I prefere to have the whole screen to my self lol so coop over live works well for me :)

Although less and less games have that option these days

Get a bigger TV.

Why do you feel that way? Split screen for coop, mario kart etc. is great as long as your screen is big enough, no?

I'd understand for versus FPS gaming though but that's about it.

I've gone from competitive gamer to never playing anything, havent enjoyed a title after COD4 really. RL friends dont really do games much, a few play, proper friends its the odd game of fifa, the geekier ones play all sorts but I dont hang around with them much. It seems despite their geek factor they still suck compared to moi, especially when it comes to FPS

I have to say, throughout High school and 6th form I never really found any gaming buddies. The one group of people that did game were mainly Halo LAN players. I wonder if uni will be different :) Specially since I'm going to study Animation.

Rainbow six was awesome in offline co-op, terrorist hunt I think it was has to be one of the best 360 offlione co-op games I've ever played!
