If today was your last day...

I feel that i would die much happier than i was say six month's ago, however i am not saying that i would die happy.

There is still an awful lot to do before i go.

Thanks for all your replies so far. I find it quite interesting yet so sad that so many people feel discontent at the moment. I can only hope this thread serves as a kick up the bum. Life simply does not care for our wants, and you're very lucky if you can actually do anything about them.

I was told I had about 5 years left recently so if I can get past 2014 then I'll be happy.

Hi Rob, I've just been reading your blog and after Marc, it seems quite surreal to see again. Obviously, it's a little hard for me to comment on your situation but I do wish you a full recovery. Am I to understand that the five years was if you didn't originally catch it or is that post-op?

No, because I've only just found out and the day is mostly over
Thanks. You could have told me earlier...

;)

Booohoo - you're over-rated.

I'm pretty content, it would have been a good innings!

Nope, I'm under-stated and therein lies the problem. ;)

Fella, I don't want to burst your bubble - I've said it before - but not everyone has crap go the way they want or finds things to easy to change. If you're in a position to put things right, you've already won half the battle which is existance.

No-one likes feeling powerless, especially when it comes to their own desires.

Yes, after a few very near death experiences (I mean nearly being dead! No lights, no tunnels) and having lost many friends and family I have found peace with myself. I enjoy each day as though it were my last and do not plan too far ahead. Life's very short and can be taken away in an instant at any time.

I would still prefer to live a few hudred years more though, that is unless the human race comes to end in the next 30-50 years or so. Which kind of seems likely unless we make radical changes.
