When I was in Europe I just VPN'd back to my home server, the laptops traffic then goes down the VPN so to iplayers servers I was using my UK ip address and it played fine.

Sorry I was thinking Biggles meant you could set up your router at home to use as a proxy when you were at home...

Beat me to it. Can be easily done by using a VPN and cisco's VPN client.

PPTP would be easier - no need for a third party client and a lot of routers support it (most Netgears IIRC)

Yep windows can speak in PPTP or L2TP/IPSEC :cool:

Should be fairly simple to set up with the right router too
