Thinking about getting Nintendo DSi

Going abroad next month and will be on the plane for 14 hrs on my own + transits at the airport for a few hours and i'm sure i 'd be bored so i'm thinking about getting DSi to play on the plane. Is it worth it?

I will have Netbook with a few films, Sony 'X' for my music entertaiment , also magazines.

And there will be new movies on board as well with your own screen so you can watch whatever you want.

Thinking about getting Professor Layton game, Final Fantasy and not sure what else.

DSi isn't worth £150, £120 maybe if you buy it from littlewoods with a voucher or see a bargain...

All current DS games work on a DS lite so I'd save myself some cash and pick up one of them for about £70 if you can find it.
 
Dont get the "something beginning with R" its no longer supported and wont work with new games.

I prefer the dsi to the ds lite its better designed and there will be games just for it in the future. There are already some now.
 
SO is it worth it then?

Used to have PSP and i thought would be good for travelling and when i went, i never even used it cos didn't really like actually. But i think DS games much more like fun, challenging and quite cartoony :)

Something beginning with 'R' :rolleyes: is it the same something with 'TT' at the end :D

I found DSi for £129.99 inc free accessories

I had an original PSP-1000 and a DS Lite and I used the DS Lite far more

I must admit I couldn't really get on with the PSP - I hated the controls and found the screen to be rather poor. Just wasn't much fun and I sold it after a few months

Really enjoyed the DS Lite however, and regret selling it
 
Oh well might order it this weekend then and keep me busy when i'm bored watching films on the plane :D

Stop talking about piracy when you know the rules. It's getting boring now and suspensions will be handed out if it continues.

Good choice, it's definitely an excellent handheld, probably the best handheld I've ever owned, just wish I had one as a kid :).

I'd go for white, I've kept mine in my case since release when it's not being used and it looks practically brand new, also it feels a lot smoother, the black one feels a bit rough but shouldn't be a factor, just choose which ever colour you prefer.

get Professor layton, it's one of my favorite ds games, mainly because I cant put it down once I've started.

From my experience of handling both, the black on the outside of the consoles is the glossy type of plastic which basically is a massive fingerprint magnet and looks horrible pretty fast. Main reason why I went for a white DS myself when I got one even though I'd actually have preferred it in black.

I think you're misunderstanding, he wants a DSi which dont have a gloss, they are both Matt so no fingerprints will be left on them. The white one is nicer in the DSi anyway which is what I went for it.

The screen difference, while only being .25" is awesome, It's more than worth it. also it's .3mp ;D
 
And theres better buttons, a better stylus and more games. It has much better specs internally like a faster processer and more ram by a substantial amount.
