Do you buy alcohol for minors?

Bit of a strange question... but I popped into Tesco with some friends earlier (we are all under 17), and they got someone to buy alcohol for them easily (I'm not drinking due to work in 7 hours, but they got a bit drunk...) - was quite surprised.

We gave the guy £10 for a £4 or something bottle as well... guy didn't really seem to mind buying it. He looked around 20ish.

Anyway my question to OCUK is do you or have you bought alcohol for minors before, and why?
 
i have once, but have had many minors ask me since and no, and i wouldn't again. they should suffer like i had too when i was a younger teenager :P
 
Nope, but it's not a concrete rule. I wouldn't buy it for someone I didn't know though, nor would I buy it for someone I knew who was going to cause trouble.
 
Hey apez.... It depends on who.
Not random stranger kids. but people I know, (say 17 year old friends as I am 18) then yes.

I would agree here, have bought ciggies for minors before they obviously smoke, and that have shosen to, being a smoker i know how annoying it is when you need a smoke but have non or dont have the ability to get some so yeah i would buy fags for minors but alcohol is just not a good idea with the intensions most of the kids that want the alcohol have in mind

same here, i love a smoke, and i hated when i was younger asking people to give me a hand. so i just say yeh mate. i'll get em no problems.
 
I would never buy alcohol for minors! I'd Bible bash them until they they run away. I did the same to a guy who was buying a 18 rated game for some 12 year old chavs.
 
Only if it's someone I know.

When I was a teenager I used to hang outside quickie-mart type places and offer strangers a certain homegrown herbal substance in order to purchase me some booze. Then one day my friend did it instead of me while I sat in the car and the dude he asked got busted. We felt so bad we never did that again :( Not the complete story but that's it basically.
 
one of my best friends is know to say yes to the youths that ask him to buy things and then disappear with their money, the cheek of him though, took £30 off of a group of lads about 9 of em said he'd buy them beer, bought a can of coke, walked out shouted catch, threw the can and then said sorry they didnt have any beer in stock and just cycled off on his bike. got to suck for the kids if this happened to them they cant exactly report it to the police"err.. yeah were were trying to get people to buy us alcohol, a guy said he would then he bought us a can of cola and then cycled off with our money" wouldn't have been happy if it happened to me when i was younger to say the least:P
