Hows this look? bang on for your money, use the little extra on a new mouse if u want it, use windows7 RC1 as OS which is free for next 8months

perfect. this is acturaly almost identical to the one i was going to get for £600 (thought i had more money) but the psu and graphics card are different. thanks.

You'd be looking at playable if you keep the resolution down or knock the settings a notch or two. You can't play 1920x1080 at max, but 1440x900 or dropping to high/medium will give you useable framerates

I would go for the dual core 550 build with the 4870 1gb since the 550 cpu models are better than a 710 tri core on some games so would be near a 720 overall.

Whereas a 4850 512mb compared to a 4870 1gb is a bigger difference since it will be noticeable at the higher resolutions due to the vram difference.

That said both specs are good for the price though i just think a 4870 for £109 is a great deal for a pc at that price range.

cheers. id like to keep 720 X 3 but might upgrade the graqphics card. it all depends on money. i should have more to spend than £500 but i want to know what i could do for the minimum if things go bad.
