BFG - Warrenty question

I built my in laws a computer about a year ago with an 8800 graphics card which they got new from a shop down the road (which has now closed). The graphics card is beginning to play up with some artifacts, nothing too bad at the moment but it doesnt look good.

Now despite telling them to register the card they didnt. Where do they stand on RMA if it does break? They dont have the receipt and the shop has closed where they got it from.

Are they stuffed?

Sorry where would that me located. Is there something on the serial or something?

It's usually shown on design of the heatsink.

^^ either that, or there would be a part number on the back of the card which should be visible when you take the side of the case off.
