Best Red Cold Cathods?

Just recieved a couple of Sharkoon Red Cold Cathods, I knew I was taking a chance that they would be more pink than red but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Also thinking sharkoon would be a decent brand?

They are not bad but still more pink than red...

Are there any good deeper red CCs? Or Should I just go for LEDS?

Most red cold cathodes turn out to be a pink rather that red.

Best chances are to go for LEDS!

ive never bought either btu wouldnt leds be better anyways or are cc's better as i would like to buy some for my machine

LEDS work well and can be placed easily

I wanted a glow effect, I was thinking CC would be better, but due to the pinkish colour I have now ordered an LED strip which I should get tomorrow or the next day. I'll try to remember to post back with a pic of the LED's.

Go and buy some red filter.

Its the best way. You can then use white, or just wrap it around your red. Remove the end caps, cut it to fit inside the tube, then reseal the end.

Akasa ones are pinkish colour.

mine don't look that pink, but not vibrant red, still there good at night in dark room

I went for a LED strip and it looks like this -

Which is miles better than the CC. Matches the front fan red LEDs on the HAF 932.

If you're going for red then LED's for the win.

The pic below has a TFC molex led sticking out the bottom and I can assure you it's very bright and no doubt about it being red. A few of these and you'd be sorted.
