Best Covers you have heard ?

Ade Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds - Down in a tube station at midnight (Full of so much more oppressive dread than Wellers Jam original)

The Ukrainians - Koroleva Ne Pomerla (The Queen is dead) nothing better than The Smiths sang in the language I always feel it was intended (Ukrainian) :p

Awesome cover of while my guitar gently weeps by Yellow Matter Custard, a Beatles cover band featuring Paul Gilbert:

Personal favourite of mine. :)

I don't know whether it really counts as a cover, but FNM's version of "Pokerface" on Friday night was amazing....Strange, but it was loads better than Lady GaGa's version.

It was rather amusing when everybody realised what he was actually singing, and ~40,000 people started laughing :p

FNM were bloomin' amazing

Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U (written by Prince)
Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan)

Covers so good that many people are barely even aware that they are covers in the first place.

China Drum above is a good shout, on a similarly unlikely note I'd recommend Embrace's version of How Come (originally by Eminem).

If you think that's a bad cover, i will poke you with a stick! :D

Joy Division are my all time favourite band, but i think this cover almost surpasses the original.

It's quite a pleasant song tbh, I just hate certain songs being covered. Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb is the main one, the original is just too damn good to mess with.
