Clubbing smart dresscode?

Hi all,

Thinking of going to an event in a club at the weekend where the dress code is 'Smart'.

Any ideas of kinds of things to wear and places that sell them? When i normally go out, im rocking my superstars, jeans & t-shirt, but dont think thats going to cut it here!

The club is Corinthian in Glasgow.

Any shoes will do, but with jeans brown shoes tend to work best. Loafers are usually your best bet.

Generally means no trainers tbh. 'Smart' dress code i always see jeans, loafers/shoes, shirt/polo or a t-shirt. Some don't allow Jeans, but not that often.

Thanks for replies, what about colour of jeans? Ive got light blue faded jeans etc, should I get some dark blue plain ones to be safe?

Dark shoes, dark jeans, darkish shirt or whatever shirt. Generally everyone has that in their wardrobe somewhere

Don't wear anything that looks vaguely like trainers though.

Yeah, fair comment, how about these brown Base loafers:

Also, they might possibly have a problem with light denim jeans (although many places now ok with these), so I would either find out first or err on the side of caution and buy some dark blue or dark brown jeans.

With dark jeans, smart shoes look very good, well depending on what jeans/shoes obviously
