Right so I have been pondering the forums and web pagen for the last 3 weeks for my new PSU on payday the 26th.

Am gutted because the OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Modular Power Supplyis on special and to be honest its the best bang for buck PSU at the moment I can see.

Dont think I can get a Quality Modular 600w PSU for under £60.

So I wounder if this will continue after the 24th June, The this week only will change on that day and I wounder if they will remove the deal on this PSU. Does anyone have any idea how this works and will they keep it until current stocks are gone?

Also does anyone get the heads up on next weeks deals?

The best protection when buying anything over the NET is paying by CC.

Could you not put it on a credit card for a couple of days so you don't miss out on the deal? (Just pay it off as soon as you're paid). Obviously, I'm assuming you're over 18 and have one of course. If you aren't and don't, in that order, ignore everything i've just written...

Looks like I have to borrow, no credit card paid them off and cut up. Payday the 26th of eack month and spend last funds on 4670 last week.

What is the difference in Modular I know you can take cables off them so more air circulation, but when I look on well know auction site I can get a coolermaster GreenI and Coolermaster power extreem for like a third of the price.

Am I just spending for the sake of it, main function is no noise and no heat. Would the above be ok?

Some times items placed on This Week Only retain their price after the offer has ended. I think OCUK use TWO as a way of testing the water re new prices.

Error right there friend, credit cards are excellent for things like this.

Spending 20 quid on a psu is almost certainly a decision which will backfire savagely on you. Could sent ocuk a webnote asking if the psu will still be cheap next week as you cant buy it until then, might be good news

What kind of extra stuff (HDDs, dvd drives, fans etc) have you got in your rig? If its a few you will likely not see much of a benefit from a modular PSU.

Also, modular PSUs tend to cost more than non-modulars - so you would be better getting a quality one that will fill your needs for your £60.

That all said - this one should power your current setup rather nicely. It won't exactly stand up to much upgrading - but its a better quality PSU than that OCZ. As always, the PSU is the most important component in your computer, get a good one or you will live to regret it.

I am running my sig but changed the 2400 with a 4670 other week. I will probly add a second Sata 2 hard drive at some point poss 500gb also a blueray rom at some point. I will be gerring 2 fans for airflow on case think they 120mm not sure

Currently got
Q6600 125w
1 x sata 2 500gb drive,
1 x Lightscribe DVD burner,
1 x TV in card,
2 x 2gb cheap cr*p ram (will change this when funds available.
Asus 4670 512mb card

The system is a HTPC in living room and on 24/7

In that case definitely go for the 450W corsair I linked to above. A 600W PSU is massive overkill for that system, may as well spend the money getting a better quality one like the corsair with a 7 year warranty.
