Anyone see that documentary last night on vitrual worlds, WoW, Eve, lineage 2 , 2nd life etc.. Pretty interesting really..

Korean kid making 150k euros a year playing Starcraft.
 
Funny thing, the 2nd life game, you got corporations like Nike, Maccy Ds and Nissan creating showrooms and advertising in there. Nissan, giving away cars, but theres no roads in the actual game..


Theres an island full of gun nuts, who create rocktes and guns etc..:eek:

Haha yep i felt sorry for the person who they picked on and shot at any time they were near.

Thought it was interesting that they thought the online game currencies would hold real value in the future and would be useable in real life to buy items. I knew you could sell 'gold' or whatever the currency is for real money on ebay but to actually use it in shops to buy things is interesting.

Just finished watching it, it was really good and really interesting.

A bit annoyed they focused on Second Life so much.
 
Thought this was mostly boring - the 2nd life stuff just seems like complete douchery.

However a naked Helmar was worth watching for sure!

The Eve stuff was all in the last 15 mins and focused on the first CSM.

Also: Oooh you've been scammed out of $20k worth of ingame stuff... tough diddley.
 
yeah why all the second life crap , the Korean kid making 150k euros a year playing Starcraft, Im telling my kids forget home work load up Starcraft ;-) ..

I heard that "War of Warcraft". I couldn't really be bothered with it after that.
