I've started playing through Phantom Hourglass on the DS, its the first Zelda game I've played and omg how much have I been missing! Its really enjoyable and I can't put it down.

So my question is, once I'm done with Hourglass which Zelda game should I play next?

I don't mind that I've not played them in order, and don't worry about platform, it wouldn't be the first time I've puchased a platform for a single game (New Super Mario Bros = DS purchase!)

Get the snes version its the best version and the one everyone will say to get. There was a GBA version but depends if you ds has the slot.

You can play ocarina of time on the wii (or gamecube) if you pick up the copy of windwaker which came with it as a bonus disk. It also is double the resolution of the original so looks better :)

Ah but the C keys used for the ocarina/weapon slots etc doesn't feel natural the way they have mapped it on the gamecube! (I haven't played it on the Wii so can't comment!)

Its the same as you plug in a gamecube controller. i think they work fine. Not perrfect, but nearly as good. I still think its better on gamecube/wii

wind waker was my favorite of all zeldas! i loved the cell shaded graphics, and the fact you get a boat that talks. awesome  (also, travelling the map on the boat was good fun IMO)

LTTP :)
Ocarina and Mask were entertaining but I prefferred LTTP tbh.
N64s and stuff popup on the MM every now and again its worth checking in there, I can't say I've ever seen a LTTP there tho

I'd play ocarina of time then majoras mask then wind waker then Twilight princess. So in the order they where released :p.

I must say I am really fond of links awakening on the gameboy. Get the DX version though. Which is the colour version :D

Was it the DX version that if you held select when you were changing map/screen it teleported you to the opposite side even if there were blockades in the way?

Yay, someone actually agrees with me :D

WW > OOT > MM > ALTTP > TP

That said, they're all exceptional, you can't really go wrong.

If I were you, I'd try to find the Zelda: Collector's Edition disk that Nintendo were giving away free a few years back. Had Ocarina and Majora on it :)

another wind waker fan! awesome. i had the gold CD case version of WW which included ocarina of time on another disk which was brilliant :) it was one of the only games i really enjoyed on the GC

WindWalker was superb, as is Twilight Princess.

Hated Majora's mask.

OOT was of course legendary, as is A Link To The Past (which if you have a DS with a GBA you can play on there).

Phantom Hourglass was a great Zelda, and there is a new one out soon as well 'Spirit Tracks'.

I got both that one and the Zelda: Collectors Edition disk with OOT and MM on it, as well as the 2 original NES games. Also still have my OOT N64 cart. Frankly I've got too many of the things knocking around!!!
