I'm not sure about that i think the things thats happened to him in the last decade or two have diminished some of his stardom, but if its true and he has passed away he will definitely go down as a a legend or the music industry.

No doubt this is going to be the start of several weeks of everyone saying what a fantastic person he was and so on and so forth. Nobody daring to point out the more unsavoury aspects to his character, nobody dare say anything ill of the dead. Must be the one remaining cardinal sin in the world to speak ill of the dead, surprised they dont make it a hanging offence or something.

As a person, I cant say that I am bothered that he is/may be dead, the guy frankly always gave me the creeps and I've thought for decades there was something not quite right about him.

As a musician though, he was a legend and a talent which will be sorely missed. (if its true)
