Rest In Peace Michael Jackson (No Disrespect Posts)

I owned both Thriller and Bad on cassette - awesome albums! Although he became a very tragic figure over the last few years, at his peak there was no-one better.

RIP.
 
I can remember the first time our household got a CD player HiFi Unit, the first model released by Philips, it was expensive and it was win! along with it my dad got some Jackson CDs and it would be constantly on play.

I also remember the movies he made and how he was in actual fact, a Transformer -_-

The recent past of his entertainment career has been poor I know and most artists who don't do anything for so long fail and fall under the cracks but even the hint of a comeback from MJ (the one that was due soon) sold out tickets quickly which just shows how big he was.

I suppose it's as they say, the bigger star you are the more likely you are of encountering downsides along the line.

At least he'll now rest in piece.
 
Was watching the news about this last night, as harsh as it sounds, I won't miss one bit. I never liked his music and always thought he was a bit bizarre. But I can't deny that millions of people the world over love his music and that he was a great entertainer.

Just hope his kids will be okay.
 
I actually can't believe that Michael Jackson is dead.
I'm still totally shocked.
Its such a massive shame.

RIP Michael.
 
Got to say I was really shocked last night. He was probably the greatest entertainer in the world and he wasn't an arrogant, gangsta "respect" idiot, preaching death and violence through his music.

He gained his fame and respect through "talent" and a genuine belief in peace and love (which might sound cliche to us.) But through music he brought a bit of himself too all our lives and it will continue to influence the music we hear forever.

Wow really shocking news as is always the case when someone in the public eye passes away - they almost seem untouchable

I was never a fan of his music but it's never good news to find out that such a loved individual is dead, a slightly controversial one nevertheless. Can only pray for his children, and family.

I got a txt from a mate last night. I thought he was winding me up as he is a bit of an idiot at times :P But I thought why would he lie about this.

I almost certainly wouldn't have such a love for music without having grown up on Jackson songs, so good.

I remember saving up my pocket money for a few weeks to buy HIStory on release day - it wasn't cheap! :o
 
Was never a fan but definitely recognised the amazing talent, and was pretty much un-matched by anybody in his live performances. Condolences to his family and friends.
