Help me find the names of three films

There are three films I remember watching as a kid and I've forgotten what they are called. Would really like to find out so I can look them up and see if they are actually any good or did I just think they were OK because I was a kid.

1. The first one is an 80s film, I think, and would be a sci-fi. Basic premise of the film is a load of doctors or something put inside a space ship kind of vessel and then shrunk massively and put into a syringe of something so they can be injected into this really old man and 'swim' around his body trying to find out why he's ill or fix the problem from the inside.

Since its Hollywood things don't go to plan and there is some industrial espionage going on or people who will kill the guy with the syringe to get at the technology or something. The guy with the syringe ends up in some American shopping mall and knowing what they want injects some random guy in an elevator. The people in the shippy thing don't know about this until they get inside who they think is the patient but then realise as they swim around the innocent victim that the person they are in is way too young to be their patient and they realised they have to get out of the bloke before its too late.

2. Second one is again an American 80s film. Again a sci-fi. :o Premise this time is three friends get together to build a mini spaceship that only just fits all three of them. Some local cop thinks the kids are toerags and keeps hassling them and gets close to the truth. Then when this spaceship is ready they go for a test flight and sure enough the cop is there and tries to stop it taking off but fails.

3. The last one is another sci-fi. Well sci-fi meets horror. 1950s aliens invade the earth kind of thing. Black and white film, obviously. Takes place near some desert where people keep disappearing into the sand. Turns out they go and stand in a particular place and the sand swallows them up.

If anyone can help me with the names of any of these films I've an e-cookie or 10 in my e-oven just e-baking away as I right this. :)
 
My word! That's stunning. :eek: Would have taken me hours trawling IMDb and the Internet to find those and within 2 minutes you've given me the names of two of the films!
 
I know the one you mean for 2.

One of the kids somehow gets the idea to build it from messages from aliens or something and he builds a small computer type thing that generates a sheild round their homemade spaceship that let also lets them fly up into space.
 
Sorry I can't get number 2... it rings a very faint bell, but it's not happening for me at the moment.

As for the other two, I remember Inner Space as being the last film I saw in the small town where I used to spend my summer holidays. The cinema closed down that autumn :(

And Invaders From Mars was one of my dad's favourites. He saw it on release in the 50s :D He'd tell me all about 1950s picture houses every time the movie was repeated on BBC2 heh heh.
 
Haha that sounds like it Jokester. I thought it was the kid from Flight of the Navigator. But it isn't/wasn't. As I remember it the little space ship is about the size of a small kids play tent, only a couple of feet square and barely tall enough for them to stand up in.

You really can tell I was born in the 80s can't you? :D

No probs dude. You were simply stunning naming 2 of them in 2 minutes!! :eek: I'm sure between us we'll get the 2nd one soon enough. :) It is an 80s film isn't it? Swear it wasn't a 70s but a kind of mid 80s thing.
 
Is Explorers where they make a space-ship in their back yard with random junk or something? I have a fuzzy memory of them flying over the city at night too...
 
I think with number 1 you have 2 films confused, it partly sounds like innerspace given the year but the plots sounds more like Fantastic Voyage that was made in the 60's with raquel welsh.
 
Yep, Inner Space they only put one person inside a random punter to get away from some spies or something, who then also put there own guy inside the same person to try and catch him.

I *think* he was supposed to be injected into a dog as part of the experiment.

Hmm you could be right. The colours in the film were fairly 60s-ish if I think hard about it. :p

IIRC the baddy that was put into the dude to find the spaceship was called Igoe?

Always remember it for some reason when the Aygo form Toyota advert is on :D:D
 
You sound confused with the first one as the first half of what you want seems just like Fantastic Voyage, which is an older film along the same lines whilst the second part is obviously Inner Space.

Yeah we've already worked out I'm a bit muddled on the film. It wasn't a comedy as I remember it. I think Fantastic Voyage is what I was after and not Inner Space. :)
