Here is a question for you!

What is the highest revving road car in production at this present time?

It wouldn't shock me if it was a Mazda but then again it probably isn't!!

The Honda S2000 I should think, they are winding up production this summer as far as I know, so weather or not it is still being produced right now I'm not sure but if it is, it wont be for long.

Oh what about the Chateram with the Hyabusa engine? ...I totally forgot about that, assuming they still make it. I think there was a Chateram Fireblade or something aswell, so one of these could qualify

Westfield megabusa would be the same sort of thing i would have thought, and i think that is still in production :)

Oh yes that's it, the Westfield Megabusa and the Caterham Fireblade. I thought my spelling of Caterham looked a little off, now I know it was :p

Technically the S2000 isn't in production any more either :D
The RX8 probably holds the record at the moment if you discount bike engined cars.

Well, the USA S2000 was a 2.2 liter iirc, and doesn't rev as high as the uk/jdm ones. A bit of googling suggests that the RX8 rev limiter is 9.5k, which will be the highest of any standard road car (excluding bike engines etc)

Pretty sure S2000's rev to more than 9k? One of the best 'all motor' 2000cc engines ever made:cool:

Spoon Sports made an 11,000rpm Civic too.
