what the front and what's the back of a coin?

Well it's heads and tails isn't it. The head is always at the front and the tail is always at the back. The same applies to coins.

It's not really a defining feature compared to the side that shows the value of the coin.

Queens face = back. To me anyway.

However after reading up on wiki, it seems the obverse (front) is always the queens head, and the reverse is always the picture.
