HELP !!!!!!!!!

There are more than enough games on all systems to keep any age or gender happy. Lets just agree to disagree on that. We could argue about this all day.

There's the Sega ultimate collection which has loads of old Sega games on it, Plenty of Sonic!
a lot of these are on PS3 too, But as said, its likely your kids friends will not have a ps3 because they are pricey, so the 360 would be best so he can play against his friends

I think we need to clarify the age of the OP's kids before suggesting what games are suitable.....

All the above games with the exception of the Sega collection are available on the Wii and are either average or not suitable for the younger generation.

I'm sorry but there is no way you can tell anyone that either the PS3 or 360 are more suitable for children unless the kids are over 10 years old....
 
Strange, because the foster parents I know, Who have loads of different kids coming and leaving, all seem to love the big pile of 360 games i mentioned.

they werent randoms, they were listed from experience. And the kids their range from 7-14

Also, you seem to be judging games as average, You're not a child of that age right? trust me, the disney\pixar\movie crossover games are golden for young kids
 
Thread should have been closed as soon as it was raised! OP hasn't listened to people who have tried to help, they have asked for more information so they can actually advise and he's ignored them! Also, there are plenty of exactly the same threads which have been raised.

Every week you get a couple of these threads and they always end up in a flame war between fanboys.

It's ridiculous.
 
As far as the exclusive games go the PS3 and 360, I think they're pretty even (although I'd think the 360 has a larger number).

Depending on the age of the children, I believe the 360 offers more in the way of parental controls, although the PS3 has some settings as well.

What's wrong with giving a kid an average game? It may not be the next epic title an adult gamer would be waiting on, but if it's fun and a laugh to play, the young 'uns will lap it up.

And you get a rolleyes for even hinting that any of the superb Lego games are "average". :rolleyes:

When I was younger, I used to enjoy playing pretty much any game I could get my hands on. Now that I look back at the games I used to enjoy, I cringe. Kids are just happy to play video games. They will only start to appreciate the more advanced games with time.

Again, I really can't understand why people ask these sort of questions without giving us more information to work with. Its annoying.

I guess having time on your side was a big advantage, I remember playing the sims when it first came out and loving it, but now I can barely play it and demand more intense/involving games.

specially when some games are pretty advanced you expect them to be greater in every update.
 
You can only play the games which are out. What I mean by that is, if the games are all dross, then you'd be happy playing a dross game.

We've been lucky in recent years that in some ways we have been spoiled by having some great games. The new hardware and graphics increase has added to this by providing more of an interaction.

We expect, partly because we're older, but partly because we have been spoiled, better games than have ever been produced. It's a hard job for Devs to keep up!
 
Also, if you are just introducing your kids to gaming, start them off with Mario brothers and a NES. Have them grow up on the games you grew up with.

Also when you're a kid, you tend to make the most of the games you've got, because you can never afford new ones. ;)

Strange because I have kids, and have owned all three consoles...

IMO the Wii offered the best gaming for my kids, and neither the 360 or PS3 offer a better alternative.

Nothing wrong with average games at all, but why offer them average games when you can give them quality games like Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers etc instead. The great thing about the Wii is that many of the top rated games are still accessable for children and that's my point.

Didn't read my post properly? Give a 3-4 year old a controller and ask them to play the Lego games.. Although pleasing to the eye the mechanics of these titles aren't aimed at the younger generation... :rolleyes:
 
I think we're going into a bad direction :D

I'm not debating whether the Wii has games for Kids, It most definately does, My earlier post about Wii was specific to myself, as I wasnt aware the OP wanted games for kids at that point.

My only point that i'm pushing is the fact 360 has a lot of games loved by kids. :)

There are plenty of top rated games for the Xbox or PS3 for children as well.

They'd do the exact same thing. Mash all the buttons, and shake the controller around. The only difference is, that's what Wii games want you to do regardless.

Give it to a child of just a couple of years older and they'd be fine with it.

Kids grow out of the Wii very quickly. They grow into the other two.
 
Main reason i chose the 360 is i play all my downloaded hd films through the pc, also, the colouring on games on the 360 always seemed better to me (maybe not the case, but to my eye it is)

Get em a ball-in-a-cup. Or an elasticated ping-pong bat. Kids are dumb, they're never gonna be happy whatever you do.

Remember when games really lasted? I played the old Donkey Kong on gameboy for months. The Dizzy series took me years. you just don't get that kind of longevity any more.
