Point Lookout - Fallout 3

Yup, I just finished Broken Steel last night, thought it was excellent.

A riverboat lands just south east of Arlington Library, taking you to Point Lookout. Off I go!

I'll be hammering this tonight when I get in, I'll be very surprised if I don't have the main story finished before I go to bed. Hopefully I'll have 1450/1450 in a day or two as well :)

I'm looking to start getting back into this game but have a question or two.

I finished the main quest along with ALL the side quests in the original game but want to know which DLC I should try first?

Also, can you still obtain the original achievements missed during the main game such as the Silver Tongue one when playing DLC?

Does each release of DLC (5 I think?) have it's own achievements?

Doh. :( Now I need some more MS points.

Yes you can contribute to the orignal achievements whilst playing DLC.

The first 3 DLC packages all have their own achievements, I presume Point Lookout does as well.

Yes you can still get the original achievements by playing DLC :)

The first DLC you should get is Broken Steel. It raises your level cap to 30 and is a direct continuation of the main story so the whole thing should flow well for you.

The other DLC packages, Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Point Lookout, are all accessed by visiting other areas. If you do Broken Steel first then the other DLC will be more fun, in my opinion, because you can continue to level your character.

All of the new DLC have their own achievement points (including Point Lookout).

I'm really enjoying Point Lookout so far, feels like i'm on the set of Deliverance lol

Added this to my Xbox Queue, looks pretty good! I enjoyed the other DLC packs, so see no reason why this should be any different.

Thanks for that

Wish I was able to play this, going to have to pick it up when I get back from the states? Anyone care to offer some spoiler free opinions on it?

1450 for me as well, really quite enjoyed it, though I did feel it was a little short and a little easy, the new enemies were good but nowhere near as challenging as a Super Mutant Overlord or an Albino Radscorpion. The new weapons were pretty weak as well I though, nice but not as useful as the new weapons in previous DLC. I'd put it about level with The Pitt IMO, with Broken Steel as the most enjoyable DLC so far.

Really looking forward to Mothership Zeta though, setting it in space gives them so much leeway to get creative and it could easily be the best DLC yet.

Completed the DLC (as in the quests) in a couple of hours, was pretty easy for a level 25/26 character with decent weaponry/armour from the other DLC packs.

Was enjoyable though, and had a chuckle at the hicks running after you :p

I'll probably get this tonight, I've just worked through Broken Steel and Operation Achorage and I'm just starting The Pitt - took me ages to get into this game but I'm really, really enjoying it now.

£14.91 delivered is the best price I can find on points right now, bought two of them last week.
