Squatters occupy MPs' 'main home'

why on earth do these MP's need a 2nd home when they only live 10 miles away. This country is going to the dog's. Seriously well done lads. More people should be doing this.
 
Unfortunately for the MP's, because they own more than one property, the police just cant go in there and kick them out.
 
No, this country is going to the dogs because of retards like this and laws that justify their actions.

Squatters rights? they break into other peoples homes and occupy them againt the will of the owner, and they have rights?! Bugger that, if this ever happened to me they would be on the receiving end of a severe beating.

The point is, you'd have paid for them yourself.

Ironically it's silly laws and whatnot that allow M.P.s to act like this.

In other news a whole load of Labour M.P.s have been shafted around here due to one thing or another. Including the fat cow who knocked on my door a few years back. :mad: :o

Understood, but you do not have another property 10 Miles from your own property that is paid for by you and I, The Taxpayer.

There is really no need for MP's in London to have a 2nd property in London is there?. I am quite sure commuting is possible from such a huge distance.

While I think its funny what they are doing, I still dont like the idea of squatters rights. I worry that after going away for a holiday that one day, some smelly oik will have shacked themselves up in my house and claimed cockhead rights.
 
Why complain about one stupid law by parading around claiming another? If they think that squatting laws are justified then why shouldnt MPs have 2nd homes?

I mean some homeless drug addict could get into your home while you are on holiday and claim they can't be made to leave, does that sound like fun to you?

And you would be sued (and probably lose )for defending your property :) UK law - its awesome.

This. It boils down to a a bunch of people who've worked out how to live the high life by manipulating an expenses system.

I don't agree with squatting in principle, however when you hear about them claiming £140,000 in expenses when their own home is only 10 miles away I actually don't care who's living in it. They don't deserve it. Have one or the other, don't be so greedy.
 
I must say I am not a great fan of squatters and squatters rights. Its a stupid law that should have been abolished years ago.

On the other hand MP's that buy 2nd houses (or 3rd or 4th and so on) with taxpayers money is bang out of order.

I'm not sure I can really say good job lads. Because in my eyes what they are doing themselves is wrong.

two wrongs DO NOT equal a right...
