New Case Recommendations

looks great........... you've got loads of stuff inside compared to mine...i've only got one massive drive..

it is big though..... look how tiny the MOBO is, it's completely swallowed up inside..........it looks perfect for cooling, like a cathedral

Actually ended up retaining three drives from old PC along these four 640GB WD Blacks simply because there's space where to keep them without cramming them tightly somewhere without any airflow.
Five 5.25" bays is just enough for two opticals, X-Fi's IO-panel and two fan controller/card reader etc devices.
Motherboard area has more "filling" from X-Fi and 3ware 9650SE RAID card.

like a cathedral
Not that big... Chieftec's maxi towers are 67cm high, this is only 58cm.
(but other important areas plain sucked in those Chieftecs)

Coolermaster ATCS 840 is a very good case at your budget. Not too bling, plenty of space to work with and pretty cool inside. It's a very big case though, and pretty heavy, so don't plan on moving it about too much!

I agree with the atcs 840 and it just became available for pre order again from ocuk available on 3/7/09.

Direct noise escape path for intake fan (of compartment with minority of heat production) and same for intake fanless main chamber through 5.25" bays. And if you actually use more than couple 5.25" bays you'll block intake airflow capacity of chamber with most heat production...
So where's the point for paying same for it as for A71?

i'll suggest the Fortress as it's just awsumness :D
check my build in my sig and the Silverstone case thread
Do I need to take it also for my cough?

It can't take many HDDs without blocking case fans' airflow toward expansion card area:

Because I liked it... :p

EDIT: Also because the thermal performance of the case is rather good and certainly does not suffer (as you seem to imply) because it has fewer fans than the A71, see Here
