I usually get a steady 8mps downstream, at the moment though im getting 300kpbs.. phoned up my ISP who are superb (fast.co.uk) and they have told me heaps of muppets are watching Wimbeldon live on the internet which is causing a massive bottle neck across the countries infrastructure and most ISPs are affected.

Fast Services are the best ISP i have had in my life as they always solve my problems and i have never had an interuption in service; so if they say its Wimbledon im pretty sure it must be.

Anyone else feeling this slow down?

I can surf fine, pages load no bother but anything that demands a slight increase in bandwidth like youtube or uploading content to my website takes a lot longer than normal.

It's very frustrating when your trying to upload stuff online before you go out.

EDIT: COME ON MURRAY; DO IT FOR SCOTLAND!

BBC website it at a crawl, i thought there must be some big breaking news but now i know its just tennis

Heap of folk doing it at work in the other companies we've joined with.
Going up and closing it or disabling their internet access seems to do the trick.

I don't know why people aren't just leaving their desks and going to watch it on the big screens in the meeting rooms. Not as if they are doing any work anyway...

At work I don't have BBC1 or BBC2 available on the TV.

I do have it streaming right this second through the website though :p

i guess most companies IT departments arent as stringent as mine, we all had to leave work early because my work has port blocks on all streaming video/radio/music etc..

We just had an e-mail go round our company saying get off the internet becuase everyone here is watching Wimbledon and our servers have slowed to a crawl.

OCUK taking ages to load up

Am I the only one not interested in Wimbledon in the slightest? :/

Just me and you i think, folk in here (work) have been watching it. I unplugged the router yesterday for a laugh, turned out to be at a crucial points scoring moment in time.

Never seen such panic and rush at them trying to fix it :D
