Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Thats the thing that swayed me to getting it. Running the benchmark at 1920 maxed out with all detail on highest, and it runs at a constant smooth 60fps and blows away the PS3 version. I haven't preordered it but I will be in town tomorrow, it better be in stock somewhere.

Plus like you said in the other thread, fightstick set on the PC desk makes for much more comfortable SF sessions. I normally lie in bed with the joystick on my lap lol.

Hadoukens just look that much cooler on PC. :cool:

If you were to buy either;

Hori Officially Licensed Fighting Stick EX2
Mad Catz Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick
Street Fighter IV Standard Xbox 360 FightStick Arcade Controller

Which would you go for?

Complete Street Fighter 'virgin' but loving the technicalities of the game, just wish I could be more accurate/precise/reliable with the pad so I can hit quarter turns when I need to, not 50% of the time. From what i've a stick will go a long way to helping.

Modding is an utter doddle, it took me less than an hour and the only tool i required was a philips screwdriver. The cables use quick disconnects so no soldering or anything. Sanwa parts are the very top end of arcade components so if you aren't that serious it may be overkill.

Hori sticks are utterly fantastic for the money, not quite as good as sanwa components but certainly worth the money. I'd go for those by what you've said.

So when are you getting the PC version Streeteh? :p

As it stands, probably never. The issue i could see coming from the benchmark seems to have become reality. Clients' framerates are syncd, so playing online will be even more painful as the silly 10yr old with a geforce 4 running at 1080p will force my framerate down to 10fps. At least on the PS3 when i finally get a game it usually runs half decent.

I do really want to start playing against you again though, unfortunately i still suck very much with an arcade stick but i refuse to go back to the pad.

But the guys on here will ensure that we all get a good game. Surely if you play someone from the forum and the game was unplayable due to FPS then you could talk about it here and it will be resolved.

I know I would adjust my settings if someone was not enjoying a match with me.

I don't really see the point in modding/buying the SE stick. It's about £55 itself. Add the £40 as said by Streeteh and we're talking £95. You can buy the Tournament stick for both PS3 and 360 for £102 if you know where to look (i'd give links but you know how ocuk is with competition). Plus you get a much more comfortable area to lay your hands on and added sturdyness.

Let's just say it was a scan of a deal. ;)

I'm having issues with timing in training mode for some of my combo's. I'm going to sell the PC version after the tournament I started, the 360 version is superior in pretty much every way bar graphics.

Yeah you are right, but the thing is the PS3 does that just fine too. I was hoping the PC would overcome the issues the PS3 has with random matches, as it stands it seems to be worse. I'm considering dual modding my stick and buying it for the 360 tbh.

I'm still getting owned online after three days.

I can beat the CPU on hardest everytime yet online is a different matter, the CPU is very weak even on hardest it doesn't provide any real training to improve, this is my only criticism of the game is the weak AI.

Probably all in the mind but I too am missing a few combos with Ryu but I think it's more to do with me getting used to having the stick so high up.

It's not in my mind as I have the PC and 360 connected to the same screen, speakers etc, and I'm consistently screwing up the 2 frame links on the PC that I can do 8/10 times on the 360 =/

And capcom were doing so well with their ports (this generation) up until now :(

Don't suppose you have any links/pointers as to where a find a good guide for dual modding a PS3 SE stick Kreeeee?

Weird. Some people on SRK actually believe the timing is "easier", not sure if it's different but I was definitely missing a lot of stuff as Balrog. (links into rush punches etc)

Will have to get used to it, the thing is I haven't actually played the game at all until 2 days ago and that was only for an hour or so. I can't quite blame the PC version just yet as I am still adjusting back to playing.

Had a bash on the PC version earlier and did all of Ryu's normal and hard trials, with the stick. It is definately different having the stick high up on the desk but I think I could get use to it. The gfx maxed out at highest res look awesome though, and the frame rate is at a constant 60, well lowest 59.XX

If its as bad as people are saying online, then I think for under £20 its worth keeping just to play ppl of the forums.

I've seen the PS3 version and the PC version - PC vesion looking the better of the two, how is the 360 version in comparison to the PS3? Much difference?

Graphically it's only minutely better on the 360, but online is much better on the 360.

Graphics:
PC>>>360>=PS3

Online:
360>PS3>PC
