Actually OcUK should have a Blog (by Spie) that covers the current grand trends and new products that this will be producing.. although it may not be Spie that researches it's the head of the company (CTO if you like). People will follow the blog and over a period he'll gain additional customers.

Twitter is fun but the company has to be a little careful of what it places in it - people will be turned off about product info through twitter.. a better idea would be to explore the areas of Overclocking and the new products coming up.. chat about it on twitter to build up the demand before it becomes news on the website..

They already have a facebook page, don't see the harm in it myself. For those who don't want to view/follow, don't. For those that do, they can, it harms no one.

There are much larger companies happily using twitter, so the 'not professional at all' comment holds little weight.

It's called marketing/advertising.

Member follows OcUKs Facebook page, employee posts a special deal, special deal appears on customer's Facebook page, customer is tempted by the 'amazing' deal and buys the product.

Cant say id use it, if i wanted to know what offers are on id clicky on the logo top left....

If you want to do something constructive with twitter be inventive, get people reading it, then advertise amongst it.
