so at about 3am my gf nudges me saying "wake up wake up i can hear a moth flying into the walls"

so when i am awake grab the remote for light and turn it up and see this huge dark thing flying in circles around the room fast. it was huge and the gf saying it was a moth i instantly dived under the cover, i hate moths.

so were both under the cover ******* ourselves wondering what to do. so i keep poping out to see if it has landed but it keeps divebombing the bed. i reached for the door and swung it open hoping it would fly out onto the landing then duck back under the covers. we wait for like 20 mins till it stops banging into everything and eventualy it does.

eventualy i get the courage to pop my head out and do a quick scan of the room, cant see it. i eventualy get out of bed stand up and grab the paper ready to attack it but its no were to be seen.

so i creap out the door and flick the light on and start checking everywere for it but cant find it at all, i head down stairs checking every corner as i go and head in to the kitchen to grab a glass and some magazine to do the old cup and slidey paper method.

i hear a scream from my gf whos on the landing and rush up, she points to a black blob nestled on a towel on the radiator in the bathroom.

still thinking its a moth i see that it is huge and fury and do a bit more ******* of pants, eventually i musted the courage to pull the towel away, its hanging on the wall and starts to crawl slowly behind the radiator.

when it starts to move i ralise its a ******* bat!

so it crawls really slow behind the radiator and just stays there, thinking that bats dont do day light i cant leave it there till the morning so i get the magazine and start giving it a little nudge with half of me out the door ready to slam the door shut if it takes flight. it eventually works its way down to the bottom and drops to the floor then just stays their. i got the glass from earlier and after 5 mins of getting ever closer i eventually get the glass over it and grab the camera.

after a few snaps i head downstairs to the back door and flick it out onto the flags. it scampers off imidiately, and for 1 last fright of the night just before i shut the door out of no were the cat comes and jumps in.

The law states that it is a criminal offence for anyone (without the permission of English Nature), to intentionally kill, injure, handle, or photograph a bat. It's also illegal to keep a bat (although sick or injured bats may be kept until ready for release). If convicted, you could be fined up to £1000 per bat.

You're goin down boy!!!

/hehehe ( it allowed if they get into the home like yours did, so your money is safe ) :p

Yea bat>moth.

You don't even get satisfaction from killing moths and laughing at their dead bodies becuase they just turn to dust the instant you touch them.

We have a LOT of bats here at this time of year.... Just as the last light of day is fading, they fly above your head a lot

I know some people from Wigan who have also had bats fly into their house. Must be a bat cave somewhere near by :D

Now I'm not sure, but I think when bats land, it takes so many minutes for them to take off again because they need to push the blood to their wings or something like that. (Dont quote me here :p) But its best to put them somewhere safe outside instead of the floor with cats near by.
