Blood Bowl (Old Skool - Warhammer American Football) Coming Q1/Q2 2009

Cool, looks like we have 14 people ready to sign up then.
Forum name - Coach name
A few people who have the game haven't given a yay or nay yet like tals, Le_Petit_Lapin etc
For leagues the turn time choices are 40 sec, 2 mins or 4 mins, for some unknown reason 3 mins isn't an option in the 'classic' league although in 'blitz' turn based mode it is.
I'll make the league tonight if no one does it first, just to give some extra time for anyone else who wants to sign up. I was thinking of trying maybe one big division to keep things simple rather than 2 or 3 smaller divisions?
When making your teams don't forget you're in it for the long haul, having extra cheap players ready as subs will be much safer than buying more of the expensive choices and only having 11 players. It's not fun playing in a league when you're going into matches with only 6 or 7 players after a few games

Just wondering if you used that onlinekeystore site and whether you got the unauthorised security certificate message when using their checkout service.

Match frequency, not too sure. Daily would almost certainly result in a lot of teams having to forfiet matches because 4 min turn games can easily take 2+ hours.

Played about 3 offline games now, really enjoying it, finding 'bonehead' so annoying though with the big brawler guys.

Unfortunately there is no VOIP for Bloodbowl. I don't suppose anyone has a ventrilo or TS server we can you for those who want to chat with one another during a game?
Also when do we expect the first games to take place?

Ah, but we're using LRB 5 rules
Bonehead means the player has to roll 2+ before an action otherwise they stand there and do nothing.

Its worth noting that Blitz is configurable to make it like CLassic but with the extras that are supposed to be there in the first place such as extra inducements etc. Classic is not pure LBR 5.0, and for some bizzarre reason they added some of the bits to the Blitz option, so you can use it and then just disable anything that isnt LBR 5.0.
No review of the game yet anywhere but I suppose this is due to it not being released in the shops until September time alongside the Xbox360 version.
All you need to know is that its a very good adaptation of the board game. Playing against the computer is ok but he can be a bit easy.
Graphics 7.5 - Nothing special graphically, but the sprites are nicely done. IMHO could have looked a lot nicer
Sound 7.5 - The commentary is really funny may get repetitive for some but theres enough variation to keep it amusing.
Gameplay 9 - No game is the same, you can level your team up individually and pick from a huge ammount of skills. Online play is the way to play. Would have given it 10/10 if they had included all the BB teams. But I'm sure they will come with expansion etc. Each team is unique in its own little way.

What I would like to see if mixed teams. The Chaos Allstars were a right mixture of players and this made them brilliant.
Then the other is MEGA BOWL. That would be insane online but very funny.
