Surely the Ethernet spec is a typo? Quad core i7, GTX208m, raid SSD's ... and no gigabit?

Will double check for you.

The weight is in the description, around 5.4KG depending on hard drives etc.

Battery life is around a hour. :D

An absolute beast of a laptop. Pretty hefty though at 5.4kg! Though I guess if you are investing in this kind of kit you are looking for a serious desktop replacement.

Just wish I had the dollar for it

1 hour battery life and 5.4KG. Fantastic :p Bloody good spec assuming the network config is a typo, but i cant see this laptop's appeal personally.

What's the point of a laptop when it isn't even mobile? The one hour battery life just makes me squirm.
Probably just an alternative to a home PC. Instead of sitting on a desk you could sit on the sofa or something. If you are strong enough to carry it down the stairs that is...

Have to agree with a few, the spec if fantastic for a laptop but 1 hour battery life and epic weight combined with price may put many off. Any word on the ventilation when running intensive games etc. Temps?

Temps vary on the chip used but the laptop can handle Extreme Editions at stock speeds.

It is mobile, but not the sort of thing to whip out on the train for a fiddle, besides it would all be over in an hour :o

5.4kg isn't much, but for a laptop it's a serious weight and it's bulky too.

I guess it's pretty cool for home if you have a docking station with a big screen and external keyboard, you could just take it down to the kitchen/lounge with you - but it's still not exactly that useful - though I think the way to look at it is as a portable desktop - which it is. I mean this is a lot more useful than carrying my big tower, keyboard, mouse, screen, speakers and cables with me.

~I could basically have my desktop pc with me on a trip somewhere so it's kinda cool.

However comparing it to another laptop is just not sensible IMO.
