i7 upgrade - how does this look?

Looking to upgrade my system to an i7 processor.
How does the following sound:

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem)
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P Intel X58
OCZ Reaper 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-15000 (1866MHz)

With everything else the same as I already have (see signature).

Been a bit biased towards the Gigabyte and Reaper since have those at the moment and been very happy.

look at getting an aftermarket cooler if you don;t have one that fits the 1366 socket, titan fenrir or the Prolimatech Megahalems would be worth a look.

Good combo but 6GB 1600 is enough, even for 4GHz OC, with the price difference get an aftermarket cooler instead

Can you recommend a cooler? Something with blue LEDs preferrably to go with the rest of my rig!
Will probably downgrade the RAM then...

I have a Akasa AK-961 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775) at the moment.
Is this definitely not compatible?

This model doesn't support LGA1366

Why the UD4P? The UD5 is better and slightly cheaper, on ocuk anyways.

True about the UD5...cheers for that.
Would I go wrong with the UD4 though? Seems a nice saving on the money side of things...though sadly it has no eta :-(

The UD4 is a good board, but the UD5 is an GREAT board

If you want to crank that thing up to 4Ghz get the UD5, if not save some cash and get the UD4.
Also save your money and buy the Patriot memory instead of that Reaper, trust me it wont disapoint.
