Season 1 of the OcUK Blood Bowl Championship is now upon us.

3 minute turns.
Match frequency weekly.
New teams with a value of 900-1000 eligible.

Join up ingame if your name is on the list. If it's not you can still apply but as league admin I'll wait until the weekend to give the people above a chance, if they don't show I'll accept yours so we can fill the league up and get the first games going on Sunday.

Edit for people having problems signing up

First, "Create a team"
Then highlight your team and leave the public league by clicking on the "Quit League" button on the right.
Click on "League search" and wait for the list to populate.
The leagues are ordered by creation date by default (or at least it looked that way when I created the league) so scroll down to the bottom and work your way up until you find "OcUK"
Click on OcUK, make sure your team is still selected (should be red text to show it's not in any league at the moment).
Click "Apply for the league" and enter the password - ocukbb

If you don't get in and don't want to wait for this one to finish we could start up another division if there's enough interest.

Main aim is to keep everyone interested and playing until the bitter end, try not to forfeit matches and don't forget it's only a game!

Feel free to use this thread to post anything league related at all: - arranging match times, ideas for future league rules and set ups, questions, problems or just screenshots of the opposing teams pile of dead and badly injured laying about in their team paddock.

Having trouble creating a team atm, will get it sorted and sign up today hopefully

The league has to fill up. Matchups each week will be auto arranged and then the coaches themselves will have to arrange a day and time to play there matches.

Yeah, I couldn't think of what else to write in the league description box and that bit of randomness just popped up, I don't know why, I never really found any of the internet picture spoofs that funny anyway :)

You have the option to play either but we're sticking with turn based and die-rolls, it's a very faithful adaption of the board game. Not entirely sure how the real time works, haven't even tried it yet.

The price is relatively expensive. I think they're going for the electronics market pricing strategy, going for early adopters at a premium price point, then after a couple of months (September) releasing the game to the high street for the usual prices.

I have sent a request with my Orc team. Was going to go with Wood Elves till a single player game showed me why they don't suit my playstyle...
 
Ok as there should be another league starting up soon due to plenty of interest, I filled the first one up and started the season!

Start arranging your matches, in this thread, ingame using the mail system, through the forums trust email system, just try not to leave it until the last minute please. Make them happen!

edit: If you don't know who the coach name refers to on the forum, check the op, only a few a different.

Can you report your scores after the match in the thread.

I'm not sure what sort of stats the league system records but you may aswell get a screenshot of the results page after the match so we could sort out some sort of running tally of which team cause the most deaths or throws the most passes etc.

Also if anyone fancies writing a bit of a match report for your game feel free. As biased or unbiased as you like, doesn't have to be serious or detailed.
