It appears everyone is having a problem with this version of MSN. People are reporting its being blocked server side by ms, as other apps offering messenger access appear to work fine.

Is this something that will be unblocked do you think, why are MSN "possibly blocking it" do you think?
 
Its something i am keeping an eye on.

Not sure if there is truth behind this, but it appears the MSN app was ripped off a "3" branded phone. So it may be blocked because it is trying to access msn via the 3 settings that msn has built into it.
 
Im using Nimbuzz for msn its pretty damn good.

Quite happy with this phone. I got it because when my contract ended i became very aware that my iphone was ****.

Anyone any idea about this update for it and when its due?
 
Maybe try installing Fring? You can chat on msn as well as loads of other IM clients. (including Skype chat)
 
Just got mine today and I'm still not too sure if I want to keep it or not. It seemed a bit slow but could that be because I haven't put the sim in yet?

I'm paying £35 on three with free internet but it still seems a bit too much. That's with 300mins mix and match.
 
Is anyone thinking of debranding and unlocking their phone yet, or is it abit early days for people to be doing this?

Not sure how easy it is to do. I got my n97 unbranded / unlocked from phones4u so thankfully now operator bloatware.

There dosent seem to be 1 site as such.

I have been finding software from various sites as no one site seems to have it all.

I will see if i can complie a list later when i get home.

There are literally hundreds of posts on this board about software. Look for 5800 applications, as they will work. Most applications for S60v3 (e.g. N95) will work too.

http://www.allaboutsymbian.com is a great site to read if you want to keep up-to-date with software, hardware and other developments for the OS.

It's very much doable, but a lot of people, especially those with Vodafone branded handsets, have 'bricked' their phones in the process. Fortunately, it's possible to unbrick your phone with not too much effort (Read through this thread), but this has put a lot of people off. It does invalidate your warranty, so I'm waiting a few more weeks just to see if anything goes wrong with my phone before I take the plunge.

I kept getting this, but its gone now :S i dont know what i done (if i done anything),lol, sorry i couldnt be more help
 
Got the new phone but cant access the internet via wireles - it keeps connecting via orange - how can I keep it on the wireless, and only try to connect via orange if there is no wireless?
