Have one dead pixel() in the bottom right of the screen but for the merits of the screen I can easily live with it.
Whats OcUk's policy on dead pixels? My last monitor had one from day one so i would like to finally have a monitor that doesnt.

need the 24" version if only it existed![]()
There is a 23" and a 24" version named the S2309W and the S2409W respectively. I have the 2309W and its great! Will be getting the 2409W for my new i7 build in August. Although I could be tempted by this!![]()
I'll just quote Slackworth from this thread:
any comments on the bezel?
I've read it could be distracting because it reflects the screen.
Sorry man, they arn't the same range. The 2209WA has an E-IPS panel, which is pretty rare in this price range, hence the interest.
The S2409w and s2309w are doubtless nice monitors (all Dell's monitors seem to be high quality) but they use the more conventional TN panels.
If dell made a 24in version of the 2209WA in the sub £300 range, I know there would be a lot of takers.
No-one here will be disappointed with the performance. Most ppl here set the brightness to 10, contrast to 75, and leave the vidcard adjustments at default.
Received mine today and looks nice
The bezel at the bottom does reflect the screen slightly but its not really an issue
They did delivery in the first 100 minutes of the day? Outstanding
Man I want this monitor badly.
joy.division try stepping the resolution down as I think some people have said you need to drop the resolution to increase the frequency, try it and see I suppose.
optimal preset res: 1680x1050@60Hz
highest preset res: 1680x1050@75Hz
I'm working on a 24" version now - it won't be Dell obviously but if it's an IPS panel at the right price then it should match the performance quite happily.
