Dare I ask how that Nibaru planet is going to affect our axis etc? I thought the solar system was expanding, not the other way around?
Or is the orbit of the Nibaru planet that large or something?
If the planet was on its way, it would be detectable by now. It isn't. So it must be magic, therefore it can do anything. It's going to appear through a magic portal, apparently. Who knows what it could do?

The Mayan long calendar makes no sense without the Mayan creation story, because that's the start of it. People who believe it next ends(*) in 2012 need to also believe the Mayan creation date, but I've never seen any of them give any indication that they even know what it is.
* Yes, it has ended several times already. The end of one cycle on the calendar is followed by the beginning of the next. All calendars do that. The one we use, for example, does it every year. This is a clue.
Why would it be detectable? The only means we have of detection is by sight. So if we happen not to see it (yet)...
No, we have an array of equipment that can detect things other than the narrow part of the EM spectrum that our eyes can detect.
Nibiru is claimed to have an extremely long orbital period. Long in terms of time. The first clue as to what rubbish it all is comes when you try to find what it's claimed to be, as the claims vary a lot. In other words, people are just making them up. If it did exist, the orbital period would have to be long enough to ensure that we have no record of the last time it passed this way.
Think about that a moment:
If Nibiru's passing was always devastating, it would have left evidence. The last major devastion was about 65 million years ago, the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event.
If previous passings weren't devastating, why would the next one be? It's only possible to accurately predict the future position of a celestial body if you know its position and velocity (and what will affect them in the future). There is no evidence that Nibiru exists at all, let alone where it is and what its velocity is, so there's no way that its future position can be predicted accurately.
Even if you ignore those two things (and in reality, you can't) Nibiru is claimed to have an orbital period of millenia and an extremely elliptical orbit. Yet it can't be going too far from the sun, or else it wouldn't orbit it. It would just slingshot off into deep space. Therefore, Nibiru is travelling relatively slowly. It would do if it existed, anyway. Therefore, if it was going to hit in 2.5 years, it would have to be very close by now. Close as in "inside the solar system". You can calculate an approximate distance using one of the claimed orbital periods (which, as I've already explained, cannot be true anyway).
Nibiru is usually claimed to be a brown dwarf. Brown dwarves are very dim...compared with stars. If there was one inside the solar system, it would be visible to the naked eye, let alone with IR telescopes. Brown dwarves give off far more IR than visible light - if there was one in the solar system, it would light up IR telescopes like a Christmas tree. It would also have an effect on the orbit of planets and that would be noticed. Even if it wasn't a brown dwarf and had an extremely low albedo and was cold, its mavity would be affecting the outer planets and many people would have noticed.
Correct me if im wrong but how i understand it this happens EVERY year, sometime in december.
The three points they happen to be talking about(i assume) are the earth, the sun and the centre of our galaxy. This would make the pull towards the suns direction ever so slightly stronger but nothing happened at that point last year so i dont see why this year would be any different
