Top Gear Returns Sunday 21st June 2009

I know what they had done, I was just saying it would have been better if they didn't because in the end what looked like a close race was anything but. I would have much preferred a video showing the actual track positions as I would have found it more interesting to see where the Renault made time over the Focus.
Totally agree, what is the point of showing them side by side if the track posisitions aren't at the same time in the lap, it offers nothing.

In that sense the lap comparisons Fifth Gear does is better as they at least overlay the other car at various corners.

I enjoyed the episode, sure it wasn't the greatest episode and I don't even think it was best in the series but having two challenges instead of just 1 was good and I don't think Bolt was that bad either.

You could also argue that how can you compare how well/differently the cars tackle the corners if you don't see them at the same time?

Didn't bother me in the slightest to be honest, we saw the footage of the laps and know the time at the end.

Quite enjoyed it. Even the Evo bit was alright if only for showing how awesome the army's vehicles are! Not the best episode ever but still good. :)

I love the cheap sport car challenges :D, sounds liek an amzing episode. Airport racing..

That jag is superb, it goes very fast but lacks the flaw of the m5 has and is comfy and silent :). I hate cars with stiff backbreaking suspension :(. I want to glide over the road when I drive a car calmly and I want it to be silent. I'd pick that jag over the m5 without a thought.
