igoogle chat box

ok, so this just appeared on my igoogle. really ****ing me off. does anyone else have this issue?

have disabled it in settings but it still appears, please tell me i can get rid of it??

have searched and could not find any solutions on here and the ones i found through google dont seem to work....

Yeah, that appeared on mine as well a couple of days ago, and I can't seem to get rid of it. Maybe there in the process of testing or changing something, since some of my other boxes on there are having problems as well.

Click on the little drop down arrow next to home then tick the 'hide chat' box.

Just found a temporary fix, change your igoogle URL to : http://www.google.co.uk/ig?gl=all and it hides the side tabs. Works for me anyway.

Cant see why google are forcing content on custom home pages! Really hope they remove it.

I remember being one of those selected to test this new page, and I immediately went looking for a way to change it back. Sodding annoying pointless waste of space left tabs chat sucks!! SUCKS!!

Imagine the look on my face when it came BACK again when it was released to all. AAAAARG! Google, why? why‽

The magic link does however trash the links in the top left. ARGH! come one google, give me back my iGoogle!!!

And I DON'T even want my tabs on top, I DON'T want ANY tabs. I havre a sodding TABBED browser!!! Tabs on a page in a tabbed browser is the most useless and annoying thing ever, mostly because the don't actually work. You're turning your page into an IBM web interface Google, and those don't work either!!!

Right, this Home Tab/Chat Box reappears sometimes for no apparent reason but normally I can get rid of it. Today it's not having any of it!

Someone please make it go away! ! !

just happened to me! they fixed the work round. i am now having to drop chrome and go to FF just to use the igoogle addon!!
