Cooler.

I'm going to buy an OEM Athlon 64 X2 4800+, so I'm going to need a decent HSF.

I'm going with an Antec 300 case.
Abit A-N68SV MoBo.
9800GT GFX.
2GB RAM.
19"/20" Monitor

Optical drive and HDD aren't a big issue atm as I have those on an old rig of mine.

So anyone got any good coolers that they can spec me?

Go for an extra 2GB of RAM aswell, will make general use a bit more nippy.

True, there really isnt an excuse not to have 4GB ram nowadays as ram is so cheap.

I'm either going to use the Win7 rc so that way i'll just install the 64-bit straight away or see if I can nab a copy of XP from work, it'd only be 32-bit mind you, but still free I guess... If they'd let me use it.

It doesn't say it supports AM2, but the 9900 does although it's more expensive. Depends if you want to take the gamble as to whether you want to go cheaper but not have it fit. OCUK would most likely do a return if it wasn't compatible however.

Yeah I was looking at it and didn't think it said AM2. Either that or I'll just go for the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM CPU Cooler, as I've heard that's ok.
