K,

well I ordered a custom-spec system from OC and as the title may suggest, it was built around the overclocked i7 bundle (the i7 920 D0 2.66 oc'd to 4).

Well, it arrived at factory-standard speeds, I know this because I've run CPUz and Bench95 again and again! I've been trying to get hold of Systems Support on the phone (lol, need I say more?) to try and resolve this because I "think" that I just need the motherboard profile settings for the BIOS.

When I go into the BIOS on this EX58-UD5 board and hit F11 (profiles) all I get is 1=Default, the rest are empty, but right at the bottom it gives me the option to load from fdd/hdd.

Question is, can someone post me or upload the appropriate settings so I can load up the profile from HDD? It would appear that OC now offer 3 different stepping speeds for this bundle (3.8/4.0/4.2) so if someone would be gracious enough to upload all 3 configs, it would be appreciated.

taa.

Or even better, could an admin email these profiles to me?
I can provide my order number so you can see the exact sys spec if needed too.

Thanks again. Here hoping ;)

what the overclocked bundle means that the chip is guaranteed to clock to 4ghz, and if it doesn't you send it in for another. Do you know how to overclock? I have little experience with i7, but there are many guides out there and youtube offers some vids. As it's D0, it should be pretty easy to clock to 4ghz.

You and me both. I've got the Ultima Vanquish built around the 3.8 Ghz i7 920 bundle (order no. OC826928) and I too was convinced that it was standard speed out of the box (see my earlier post) and I cannot get hold of systems support either. Mine also came without the game from the Gainward GTX260 so I'm slightly disappointed with OCUK this time.

I believe some purchasers of the bundle received a USB pen drive and instructions on how to restore the BIOS settings from the pen drive, bot not all do it seems and I certainly didn't get one with the Vanquish, hence the loan of one would be much appreciated. I'm in East Sussex if anybody has one in this area, or is willing to save their BIOS profile to my own pen drive.

I suspect OCUK will not want their custom BIOS settings posted in the forum for obvious reasons. It's a shame there's no PM facility here and most would be reluctant to reveal their email address too.

Regards

John

geogaddi and John Daniels, if you have any queries regarding your recently placed orders or those orders you have received, if you're having trouble getting into contact with Overclockers via phone, then please either use the alternative methods such as the WebNote system or the Overclockers Customer Service section. In the situation both of you are in, I would be very much inclined to use the Customer Service section.

These parts of the forums are not really the place to ask any questions regarding your orders. :)
