Top Gear presenter James May is looking for volunteers to help him build a new house in Surrey - made entirely out of Lego bricks.

As part of his BBC series James May's Toy Stories, he plans to build a two-storey house in the middle of the Denbies Wine Estate, in Dorking.

More than three million Lego bricks have been delivered to the site.

May will host a building day next Saturday, when members of the public can help him with the project.

The house will be life-size with a staircase, toilet and shower, and May said once it was completed he intended to live in it for a few days.

Did anyone see the Mythbusters episode where they tried to build a giant lego ball to roll down a hill? It fell apart after a while, but I'm sure they needed over 250,000 bricks, I'm guessing that more than 3million will be necessary to build this house unless they're quite large bricks?

Yeah I think I will offer my assistance, don't live too far away at the moment! Sure would be fun.

I hate the BBC for pawning James may as some sort of engineering guru when in truthhe is thick as pig crap!

the Mythbusters lego ball took 1million pieces of Lego, & weighed in over a hefty 3,000lbs+, and took over 2 weeks to build a 2 metre ball, so i can't help but think the 3 million pieces JM's got for his 2 story Lego house project isn't going to be enough.
