Big Cat caught on Video by PC

Mercenary Keyboard Warrior · 28 Jul 2009 at 20:05

If the perspective makes the track width narrower its going to have the same effect on an object immediately next to it surely.
Looks pretty large to me.
I doubt its going to be very lionesque but in no way looks like a normal cat.

kibblerok · 28 Jul 2009 at 20:12

looking at the scale on this, the one captured looks like incredibly big

BigglesPiP · 28 Jul 2009 at 20:15

That cat has to be as big as the gauge of the track, it's a large cat al-right.

mks2005 · 28 Jul 2009 at 20:28

I think it's a big cat.

Exactly, there's no real evidence it's a big cat but it is scientific fact

Yes but that's the point, its a comparison

JBuk · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:17

/facepalm

Spinal2k2 · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:22

what is with the heavy breathing in the vid lol.

What is the size of a rail track in height width etc, some house cats can grow bigger than normal cats - farm cats etc tend to be bigger than a normal house cat.

Even the part of walking along the track - the quality is so bad it could even be a dog.

Aslo - again whooooo with the breathing - deeeeap breaths in and out its not that scarey.

wannabedamned · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:23

Woh, There's 2 of them now? There could be a family!

The UK rail gauge is 4' 8 1/2". Going by that scale, it puts the cat at about 2 and a half to 3 feet in length. Plus the tail (which looks very long itself, much longer than my cat's tails.

I say big cat tbh.

2 and a half feet? Thats hardly very big

maybe 4-5 feet i would say to be a big cat.

But from that video i would say that it definately looks like a big cat.

Jono8 · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:29

that looks like a fairly big domestic cat^

so yeh the one in the vid is a lot bigger!

^TANK^ · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:32

Nitefly · 28 Jul 2009 at 22:36

I would have to say that the cat in the video is a big cat, you can tell by the size and I have seen many a big cat in my time.
