What does everyone think to this song? I know we have some die-hard Sigur Ros fans who must have an opinion...

I think it is absolutely epic, apologise for the use of that word but it really is. An absolutely breathtaking rework, and so sympathetically done. It has to be one of the musical highlights of this year so far for me.

I'm not a big fan of Trance but the Mrs loves it and has played me more than a few tunes which I would describe as epic.

This falls way short of that mark though, not quite sure what all the fuss is about? There's nothing to get your teeth into really and it certainly didn't grab me by the swingers like some tunes do.

Sounds very Robert Miles'ish (piano in trance springs to mind) with a bit of Jean Michel Jarre thrown in for good measure.
I like it :)

Just makes me want to listen to Takk. I'm trying hard to block out the trance bit and listen to Sigur Ros's masterpiece:(

havent heard the original, but i wonder how well this would work in a club? Seems like radio friendly trance. I love it though, its good to get closer to the proper clubby trance sound on mainstream radio, as opposed to the cascada end of the spectrum.

Nice track. Not the best Chicane track I've heard but I definitely like it. (Would take a hell of a song to better Saltwater imo)

its ok, but its nothing special. It's missing something (maybe some lyrics) unlike my favourite 'no ordinary morning'.

It does nothing for me, the Sigur Ros version usually sends tingles up my spine, that was just like most other pop records at the moment, pretty average

Mmmm memories of Planet Earth :D :D

An absolutely breathtaking rework, and so sympathetically done

They always reappear every now and again and produce something that I stick on permanent playlists to be played repeatedly. I'm always surprised though when I do hear them again, they're pretty good.

You're right this remix is handled with care. I'm all for hearing new versions of songs but too many get ruined easily.

This is especially true with classical music. The only good ones I can immediately think of are Barber's Adagio for Strings and a white label of Ave Maria (!!!). I lost that after a hard drive crash and was gutted.

I'm not a Sigur Ros fan, yet I prefer the original... It's like theyve just turned on a drum machine in the background and said "that'll do!" :p

I love chicane and have seen them live and plan on seeing them again in December...

Despite this, I don't think this track is particularly great to be honest.... it's not terrible but just doesn't make me buzz in quite that way that, for instance, Saltwater does.
